Project Manager

Job Description:

Estimator

Job Description:

ConcreteVille™ is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for concrete construction projects. This role requires strong mathematical skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to analyze blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop detailed cost estimates.
  • Analyze labor, material, and equipment requirements to determine total project costs.
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and pricing.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
  • Monitor market trends and prices to ensure competitive and accurate estimating.
  • Track and report on project costs and changes.
  • Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on concrete projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification from a recognized professional body (e.g., AACE, RICS) is a plus.
